Environment

I serched around the Net and I found this site:

http://www.nrdc.org/reference/kids.asp

There are many many environment issues,

like global warming, deforreotation.....many

I think global warming is very important.

It is having TOO MANY CO2.

It relates polar bears and the North Pole.

There are many polar bear becoming

no place to live or take a rest,

because the ice are amost melting.

And the sea level rises ,too.

Julius Caesar

I serched around the Net and I found these two site :

Julius Caesar was born in Rome on 12 or 13 July 100 BC.

Julius Caesar was a great general and also a good leader.

Romans even named o month after him,

the month of July for Julius Caesar.

There were ten month in Rome.

About 2,700 years ago, Numa, the second

emperor created two month,January and February.

Then Julius Caesar decided January to be the first month

of the yaer, and Febuary is the second month.

Julius Caesar did many improtant things for Rone.

So he became popular with Romans and powerful.

However the goverment were worry about that.

Of course! Julius Caesar took over the goverment

and became a king.

This is the end of republic.

In 48 BC He defeated Pompey.

He fought alot , and conquered many places, too.

Caesar described it in three words:

"Veni, vidi, vici" ("I came, I saw, I conquered").

I think he was really porud of it.

Gladiator

This was the place where did they fight.
I serched around the Net and I found a sie page :

Romans liked to watch other people die.

They thought that was fun.

Futhermore they believed their gods gladiatorial fight .

Before lunchtime the men in armor would fight with wild animals.

Like: bears and alligators.

Usually the men killed the animals

but sometimes animals killed the men.

These kind of fight still could see in Mexico and France.

After lunchtime the men would fought with men.

In cities the fights were to the death.

In smaller towns, probably the

men usually just fought until someone was hurt,

but sometimes men did get killed.

The rich in Rome were REALLY rich ,

but the poor were very poor.

The rich Pomans could eat whole plates of peacock tongues.

(I think it is very strange to eat tongues.)

They cooked whole things together.

They cocked whole kind of meet together.

They even got snow without refrigerators.

They got it ftom the montains.

They loved spicy food.

They bought the spicy food from India.

Like:Cinnamon,pepper.....

They had the bathrooms and toilets in their house.

Altogether they were really very RICH!
